Good morning, thank you for posting on this very common menopausal issue.
If you are having menopausal symptoms then the most common cause of dryness is due to lack of Oestrogen. Many women have dryness, itch, soreness and sex can be really uncomfortable or impossible.
After your GP has asked you some questions and are happy there is no other cause; vaginal oestrogen in a pessary, cream or ring can really help.
I prescribe this regularly and it can make a huge difference!
There are some vaginal moisturisers and lubricants that can really help too. Some can make the problem worse; others better. If you wanted to know more about this, please DM me on here and we'll chat some more.
If you have any other questions, please let me know.
Best wishes
Diane Porterfield Bourne.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Yes, vaginal dryness is definitely a common side effect for a lot of women. I am not a medical expert as the nurse and doctor on our forum. But personally for myself I use Astroglide and that has been very effective for me and seems to be working.
