When to start my HRT

Hello, I've recently been prescribed estrogel -2 application's daily and utrogestan - one to be taken daily on days one to twenty five of cycle.

Since being prescribed them I havent had a period (its been approximately a month) and I've been waiting for my period to start the HRT.

Am I being thick and should I just start it or wait til my period starts? I'm just confused as I have to take the utrogestan on certain cycle days but if I havent had a period how do I know when to start?

Sorry, I'm normally quite level headed but this has got me all confused and I'm not sure what to do.

Thank you for your understanding x

@Lilylis . Thank you for posting about your HRT medication. I apologise for not replying sooner.

I guess the health professional who prescribed your HRT didn't explain this? Are you in the UK?

You have been prescribed Utrogestan nights 1-25, which is the regime given to women who are no longer having periods. If you are still having periods (even now and then) then you are prescribed this for 12 nights a month, then you have a period.

Where you still having periods before you started this HRT?

I would talk to your prescriber; just to double check this regime of Utrogestan is right for you.

I hope I have helped and I am sorry I didn't see your message until now.

Thank you @Blanka_C for tagging me in.

    Best wishes

    Diane Porterfield Bourne.
