Sleeping Issues

Hi there,

My mother has been diagnosed with Alzheimers since early 2017. She has live-in care at home. The pandemic has certainly accelerated her symptoms and very recently she is having terrible problems sleeping. She will go to bed happily around 9.30 to 10pm but then not actually go to sleep until around 3am. This is beginning to turn her nights into days and her days into nights. Obviously we want to re-align her sleeping patterns as much as possible. We are using a sedative for a few nights, and it has decreased her anxiety but she is still not falling asleep until the small hours. Can you suggest any vitamin supplements like magensium? Do white noise sleep "machines" help, or does that cause distress? Would Arthur the musical bear help....? Any suggestions hugely appreciated. Many thanks, Lucy B
