  • I've been on letrazole for a year and pleased to say I've had no side effects whatsoever. Sometimes changing to a different brand can help. I always take mine at night time. It just shows how different we all are. Hopefully things will improve for you.
  • @Blanka_C @RobertA @ louiseJ @Viv @Norab @Newshoes123 @AnneMarie @Nixster @MrBumpsMum @Jojodot @Jojodot Hello hope you are both keeping well. So I finished my 15 radiotherapy treatments 6 weeks ago with no side effects. No changes to skin and minimal fatigue. I'm still going to London every 3 weeks for my infusions - 8…
  • Thank you so much. I did have a little weep yesterday at the thought of having no cancer inside me. But the oncologist said that I still have a long way to go but I know that I can get through it. I'll let you know when I find out what is happening next
  • @RobertA @Sunshinedaff @KarinSieger @Sunshinedaff Got results yesterday. Good news is that all the cancer has been removed with clear margins 😄 Wound needs to heal then need 3 weeks of radiotherapy and then 3 weekly injections of immunotherapy drug for a year. I think that I can do this!! Teachers pet - re your riding hat…
  • @Sunshinedaff @RobertA Hope you are both well and enjoying the sun. I had my surgery last week and am feeling surprisingly well - no painkillers needed as only a little sore. Had all lymph nodes removed but don't know what has been done to my breast as it is still exactly the same size and shape as the other one. The week…
  • @Sunshinedaff @RobertA @KarinSieger Good morning. Just to let you know that surgery went very well. I'm feeling very good physically and very positive mentally. Hardly any pain and can manage with a paracetamol. Looking at myself cannot see any difference in my breasts however I have a blue hue from the dye they injected…
  • @RobertA Happy New Year to you. Glad you are well and that your appetite has improved ha ha. Yes surgery on Thursday. We have to go down on Wednesday afternoon as I am having some blue dye injected into me - I think I may look like a smurf!! Plus have to sign consent papers etc. I'm being very positive and this time next…
  • @RobertA Hi glad you've had a great Christmas. Ours was quite but very nice. I dare not get on the scales after 3 days of eating and being a couch potato 🥮🍧🍨🥧🍰🍮🎂. Speak soon. Best wishes. Cxx
  • @RobertA Hi lovely to hear from you. Yes I'm a little fatty at 7st 2lbs - but I have lots of chocolates to devour over the next few days. I'm scheduled for surgery at the Royal Marsden on 9th January. After that who knows. I wish you and your family a very happy Christmas and a healthy New Year. Let's catch up next year.…

  • @RobertA Hi Rob So pleased that everything turned out well for you. Glad to hear that you have made up for the fasting ha ha. Best wishes. Cx
  • @RobertA Fasting? That's interesting! Shame I can't do it for you. I've read that fasting before chemo helps reduce the effects as fasting causes cells to shut down and thus they are less damaged. My appetite is a little bit better and I have almost reached 7st ha ha. Mentally I'm feeling so much better. I've stopped…
  • @KarinSieger Awww thank you for your lovely comments. So hard to eat and drink when you have no appetite. Did you read my post about feeling very low and weepy - thought I was going crazy ☹️. Luckily a 30 minutes chat with my doctor sorted me out especially when she explained how poorly I had been. She also said it was a…
  • @Sunshinedaff @RobertA Just to let you know that I had appt with oncologist yesterday. At the moment I am not well enough to start treatment. My kidney and liver functions are sky high and I am severely dehydrated which she said was another reason for me feeling so unwell. I know I'm not eating or drinking enough but it's…
  • @Jojodot @[email protected]@RobertA @Sunshinedaff @[email protected] So had to visit the doctor today - none cancer related. I mentioned that I am so weepy and they reassured me that it was perfectly normal after what I'd been through. She reiterated that I'd been extremely poorly with sepsis and that it would take a while to…
  • Thanks for your kind words. Yes I will keep in touch, I've just found every thing too much at the moment. I did ring Macmillan today but it was busy and I didn't leave my number for them to ring me back - what a cop out!! I'm just worried that if I speak to them I will just cry and cry and they will think I'm stupid or…
  • @Sunshinedaff Thanks for your advice Lou. I realize that I need to talk to someone so am going to ring the Macmillan line. I've just been out for a little walk to try and build myself up - can't believe how weak I am. Kes took me to see Splash on Sunday which was great but I'm not really strong enough to go on my own at…
  • @Sunshinedaff Hi I came home last Saturday night after 3 weeks in hospital. Can't believe how weak I am but after losing a stone and not moving much I shouldn't be surprised. Been home a week but still have no appetite and to be honest I'm feeling really low and weepy - I really don't know what's wrong with me. It's so…
  • @RobertA Hello sorry to have to say that I am still in hospital. Apparently I have some sort of super bug. I am hoping to be able to go home next week but will still need to be on the antibiotics for another month. Goodness knows when I will start my treatment again.
  • @RobertA @Sunny139 @sunnydaff @Jojodot Hi guys been in hospital very poorly with infection. Chemo cancelled until further notice. Never felt so ill
  • @Sunshinedaff Thank you so much. Have so much steroids energy at the moment going to get all my jobs done today before it fades away.
  • @louisej @RobertA @Sunshinedaff Hi everyone sorry for not posting but had a really rough time after my first chemo. I was literally in bed for almost a week. Felt so sick and couldn't eat or drink anything. In fact if there had been a button to end it all I would have pressed it. Luckily it did pass and the past few days I…
  • @KarinSieger Thank you so much for your message. It makes so much sense and I realise that I do have to accept that things have changed. Believe it or not I am a very positive person. Yes I don't have to get up and rush around, I can take my time and it makes such sense to listen to my body. I'm starting a diary too and…
  • @Sunshinedaff @KarinSieger @[email protected] Hi yes you are so right and my mood has lifted since my last post early today. I've just done my first injection and that was so easy. Had a nice sleep and hubby is going to cook some dinner. I'm starting a diary so that I can see how I improve. Your post has really lifted me - it's a…
  • @KarinSieger Hi am struggling at the moment. No energy and really feeling down and weepy. At this moment in time don't think I can do this. Other people seem so brave but I can't muster up any positives I'm hoping this is a blip and things will improve over the next few days Sorry for the negativity
  • @RobertA @Jojodot @Sunshinedaff Hope you are all well and enjoying this lovely sunny day. Have survived 3 long days in London. Tuesday was bone scan. Wednesday was a killer - 6 hours of infusion of trastuzumab and pertuzumab and then we couldn't leave clinic for a further 2 hours in case I had a reaction. Thursday was…
  • @Jojodot I was diagnosed on 9th July and only starting chemo this Thursday. My treatment has also been delayed but I wasn't happy with my first consultant and knew I needed to be sure. I had CT scan plus ultrasound last week in London London is two hours travel but I feel safer with them. We sre traveling down today and…
  • @Jojodot Good evening, how are you doing? Have you had any treatment yet? I'm off to London tomorrow to start my treatment. Not looking forward to it. Thinking of you X
  • @Sunshinedaff Aaaw thank you so much. Travelling to London tomorrow for a bone scan. Then Wednesday have a biotherapy infusion then Thursday its chemo day. We are lucky that the Royal Marsden provide us with accommodation. Don't really know how I am feeling but I had a horrible thought today. I'll be having chemo with…
  • @Sunshinedaff @Jojodot @KarinSieger @Rob70 Hi everyone, just got back from two long days in London. Had, kidney checks, heart checks and clip inserted into lymph nodes. Start my chemo next week. They explained it all to me and all the side effects. Said they give you massages while you are having treatment to help relax…
