Your dog is adorable. You just can't beat having pets. They never judge you and love you unconditionally. I am glad she is there to support you. They do pick up on our feelings and can make such a big difference when we are feeling low. Love Julie

@Sunshinedaff Hi Lou. So sweet to offer to look after Alfie. I have friends who would come round to see to him, but I would only worry about him. He is deaf and is very nervous because of his disability. He is also very attached to me and I know he would be stressed if I was not around. He certainly would not be happy not…

Wow 5 cars! That's an expensive hobby. Mary must be some kind of woman to have caught your eye! Yes the vicar refused us to get married in his church because we didn't live in that area. We were only 15 minutes away in a car. I pleaded with him, but he would not budge. I remember crying in the car all the way home. Alfie…

@RobertA @Sunshinedaff Hi Rob. Just think if you had let them film your wedding, you could have been famous! 🤣 🤣 I don't blame Mary for refusing, I could not think of anything worst. Gosh you did leave it late to get married. I thought I was late at 35. Mind you John and I were engaged for 7 years. I was never really…

@Richswife Hi Rich's wife. It must be very sad knowing he can't cuddle his grandchildren. Sad for the grandchildren as well, as they won't understand why. But hopefully the seeds will have done their job and I am sure Richard will be able to give them lots more cuddles to make up for the times he has been unable too.…

@kirstyhbc What fantastic news. I hear so many stories like yours. The doctors are not always right and we are all unique. Not too far away now before your last chemo. May your health go from strength to strength. Your story certainly put a smile on my face as well. Julie x

@NanaBubbles Hi Michelle. Glad you are starting to feel better. I love tulips, they are one of my favourite flowers. I actually prefer them to roses. They do tend to droop though, but I love that about them. I know nothing about the type of treatment you are on. As you are on your 15th, I take it that you probably don't…

@Carol444 What a lovely personal touch. Yes definitely something to look forward to. It will be here before you know it. We did everything ourselves for our wedding. Even the photographs. Ours was a very small affair and we flew off to Italy in the evening. We celebrate our silver wedding anniversary in May. The sun shone…

How lovely. I can understand how it would make you want to cry as well. I'm sure she brings you much joy. Julie x

@jacksprat_x1 Hi Jackie. I have attached a photo of Alfie. He looks like butter wouldn't melt in his mouth, but he is a bit of a one, I can tell you. He has terrible tantrums when he doesn't get is own way. I would not change him for the world though!
-
Oh he is so adorable. He looks like a mummy's boy to me! ☺️

@jacksprat_x1 @Sunshinedaff @RobertA Hi Jackie. Glad you have decided not to go back to work. They don't sound like a nice company to work for anyway. Retail has gone awful. They expect so much from you and think you should not have any sort of family life! I was about to start a new job when I got my diagnosis. Because I…

Hi Rob. Good to hear from you. You have been greatly missed. Alfie does jump up on to my lap, but only when he wants one of his treats. He lets me feed it to him and then he jumps straight down again!🤣 I have tried picking him up and putting him on my knee, but once he realises there is nothing for him, he is off! He will…

Ahh so cute. XX

What a wonderful kind and generous thing to do. A lot of the youngsters get such a bad press these days. It brought joy to my heart reading about your granddaughter. No wonder you are so proud. Julie x
-
Ahh Rob. Hope you are back to your bright and cheerful self soon. Sending you a huge hug. 🤗 Julie x

Hi Lou. I hope you don't drink alcohol while painting! I don't want you trying to cut off your ear! 🤣🤣🤣

@Sunshinedaff @RobertA Very impressed. Painting pictures is certainly not my strong point. Although I have done various paint techniques on my walls and furniture over the years with great success! I do have a huge seascape picture in my lounge which I have had to touch up in lots of places over the years. My husband has…

Hi Jackie. Yes a step at a time for us both at the moment. Although you have been through far worse than me. At least you will be able to enjoy the summer this year. Make sure you have plenty of gin and tonics! I bought John a bottle of Parma Violets flavoured gin for Christmas. Sounded disgusting to me, but I knew John…

Ahh Jasper melted my heart . Loved the way his paws are crossed. Our animals bring us such joy. I don't think a home is a home without a pet. Although they are a huge responsibility. We haven't had a holiday for donkeys years because I would never leave my last 3 pets with anyone, because of health issues. We can go away…

@jacksprat_x1 Hi Jackie. So glad you managed to do something for valentine's Day. It sounds like it was a lovely day. I haven't heard of that film either, but I do like true stories. I like the fact they will bring food to your seat. I don't think they offer that service at ours!🤔 Yes my drain is out now thank goodness.…

@Sunshinedaff @RobertA There was one Christmas, I realised I had forgotten to get John a card. Luckily we keep our cards and the boxes they come in to protect them. So I delved through them and picked one out. I thought he won't remember it. When he opened it he said is this an old one? I said what makes you say that? He…

How lovely. That must have meant so much to you. It's not always easy being a step mum, so that must have brought a lump to your throat.

Hi everyone. My friend phoned me this morning. She told me her husband had bought her flowers and a card for valentine's Day. Only trouble was , it was a birthday card! Now that made me laugh! Just goes to show how much attention he had paid to that card! I did say it could have been worst, it could have been a sympathy…
-
@RobertA Hi Rob. Yes valentine's Day is a bit of a rip off. I told John years ago not to buy me flowers on that day. He either gets me some a couple of days before or after. We even recycled our cards from last year! 🤣🤣 Really nice cards are so expensive, I like to get my money's worth! Have a lovely evening. Julie x

Sorry to hear about your flare up. Does seem a bit of a coincidence that it has flared up when you have not been swimming as much! I obviously have no experience of that, but did do a lot of reading up on it. It is one of the things I am worried about ending up with. I hope the swelling reduces soon and the meds help with…

Hi Rob. Unfortunately lunch had to be cancelled yesterday, as I was not feeling too good. I obviously spoke too soon! We will probably do it next week now. Hope the weather is better there today. People do tend to panic buy, when there is really no need. If everyone Just shopped normally, there would be enough provisions…
