    Oh, I know! Good morning!

Sorry to hear you have gone down with a cold. I hope you get over it quickly.

This winter seems to be invading Spring! I know I shouldn't be surprised because I have heard in the past something about frosts and May, probably to do with gardening haha!

You haven't got rain have you?

The other night we had a big storm, with thunder and lightening. It was nuts!

    Sunny here, but chilly.

Stay wrapped up and warm, take care.

    Good Morning Ladies,

Sorry to hear you have a cold Lisejs29. Welcome to the community. I hope you get well soon.

It’s a cold grey day here in Suffolk. Brrr! Staying in the warm today.

How are you Lou? I’m just surfacing from a week of brain fog and no taste buds and dredded tingles. Given myself a talking to as I lost 5lbs in a week! Would have previously congratulated myself but not now! I lost 2 stone last year with WW for health reasons and have lost another stone due to the illness. Not good! Next round I am eating whatever it takes.

I actually started feeling a bit more human after treatment a week ago, only yesterday and I hope I don’t jinx myself but I think I’m good today!

Have you got plans for today? So far I’m going to eat my homemade butternut squash soup at lunchtime and watch Gogglebox, always cheers me up. Bit like this communityπŸ˜ƒ

Have a great day all. Great to be back in the land of the aware! Haha.

    Hi Jackie,

It's been a tough week for you, I’m sorry to hear that. Wow, that’s a big weight loss Jackie! Butternut squash soup sounds delicious and will be good for you too. That’s the thing with chemo, there are so many practical advice tips out there, what to eat, what not to eat etc, but at the end of the day you just have to eat whatever you can, whatever stays down and in! It’s trial and error!

Well it’s sunny but cold, so maybe later this afternoon I can garden. But after lunchtime also back up to ....you know....uni!! Haha, end of term!

I have a lot of tv to catch up on, and there is a couple of new shows starting this week too. Yesterday, after school I sat with my other daughter watching Marvel films, starting from the first film, Iron Man 1&2 and Thor! It was a Marvellous evening! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚Enjoy Gogglebox, it is very funny.

Glad you are feeling more up, it’s good when you can notice the change upwards happening. Enjoy these ‘good’ days. Stay warm!

    Morning ladies

I think the weather has gone cold and wet because it was the first day of the English cricket season yesterday.

Sorry about your cold Lisejs, hang in and keep warm. Let your other half spoil you.

    Hi Jackie

Sounds as if you have had a tough week. We are with you dear friend. Not so great myself today, but self inflicted, it was Mary’s birthday yesterday and we celebrated with too much food and wine. Well, you need to eat, but not as much as I am doing right now - maybe we can swap a few pounds.

    Hi Lou

Weather a bit brighter here today. A bit if gardening perhaps!

    Enjoy your weekend all.

    Hi Rob and Lou

I must admit I was shocked at how quick it went, the weight! A little lesson there I think! I loved a cake 🍰 and wine and sweets but just lately ooo no! I am eating a lot of gingernuts tho!

I found late in the week that a chilli bean and veg stew with rice was the only thing that tasted like it should. Also helped with slowing up tum too! It’s trial and error isn’t it?

Rob that’s what it is the cricket! Haha! Happy Birthday for yesterday to Mary. You have to spoil each other on birthdays!

I hope you manage to get out today. It’s spitting here....ala Peter Kays Dinnerladies sketch... it’s spitting , it’s spitting, get everyone in! Haha.

    Hi Lou,

Sounds like that was right up your street a Marvel evening! So nice to share that with your daughter Lou.

Enjoy your day and the trip to Uni. Enjoy having her home again.

    Speak soon all.

Ginger nuts! Jackie, they are a godsend during chemo! Although always my fave biscuit! And funnily the only alcohol I could tolerate whilst on chemo was champagne!! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ So funny! Good grief, what must I sound like!! Only on my birthday and Christmas during chemo! πŸ˜‰

Hahahaha πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚, that is so funny, Peter Kay!!! Hahahaha πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚, I'm still laughing!

Morning Rob! Oh dear!?! You need to pace yourself!! πŸ˜‹. But at least you had a wonderful day, and Mary enjoyed her birthday. Hopefully you can have a relaxed quiet day today.

@Lisejs29, I hope you can relax, and just chill today, and you can let others do for you. Thinking of you. x

Caught up with the ironing ( not my fave), whilst watching BBC House of cards. Very good! 😊

    Thinking of you all,

    Hi Lou,

Might try to make some Mary Berry gingernuts. Gingernuts they really are the best for nausea. I’ve been given a bottle of champers for when my treatment is over. Looking forward to cracking that open. It was sent to me by my ex husband of 25 years! These things happen! To say it was a shock, the first one, the second being told I had cancer, was an understatement! He is my children’s father, Norman is lovely Stepdad and Stepgrandad. How lucky was I to find a lovely kind man after that, whom I could trust and have been with for 19 years this September. Time is indeed a healer in more ways than one. Good luck to all who are going through a crisis at the moment. You will get through this.

Hi Ladies, hope you’ve had a good afternoon, I will look up Mary’s recipe. I’m back from uni, with a full car load of stuff!! Heaving it was, I think she has all but emptied her room, ready for leaving it next term!

Wow! That was thoughtful of your ex-husband Jackie. And yes it is really great you met Norman and have had another chance of happiness with someone else.

It has become cold and overcast here again now, decided to make some hot cross buns instead, got the dough on the go. Wrong time of day to start it really, I shall be up late baking them! Haha.

    Have a restful evening,

    Lou x
