    Hello Ann,

Welcome to the community, it is lovely to 'meet' you.

It is great that you have come through five years since your diagnosis. I can imagine that it must feel very strange when you are finally 'discharged' from regular checkups etc. I am still in the system, it will be five years at the end of the year for me.

I know I felt cut adrift at the end of my treatment, so having that final cut off will be very strange and unnerving as it is reassuring when I am able to have regular checkups and contact with my doctors.

This sort of forum is great as you hopefully will be able to chat with others in a similar position.

There are many others here who have been through bowel cancer, I went through breast cancer.

You will find everyone very friendly here, hopefully you will get to know us soon.

    Lou x
